Dirtz specialises in the design and construction of off-road cycling facilities…We do nothing else.
To date we have designed & built over 120 competitive and recreational mountain bike, pumptrack and BMX facilities all over Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Our advertising and self-promotion is minimal as the good word of mouth from our many projects is more than sufficient to keep us busy. We believe this speaks volumes about what we do.
Our team of designers and builders are passionate and accomplished cyclists who have competed at the highest levels of mountain biking and BMX in Australia. Brett Barnes, our director is Australia’s most accomplished off road track designer but he will never tell you that. With numerous UCI standard facilities, and many Australian firsts within his portfolio of work, he is the silent achiever of Bicycle facility design in Australia, if you ride a bike you have probably ridden a Dirtz track .
Brett also has 40+yrs of competitive cycling behind him, with many state and nationals titles to his name. As do our machine operators, with a swag of National and even World rankings amongst our staff. The difference is that what we design will not only look nice it will work as it should.
We are passionate about progressing cycling and active travel and live what we do.
We have completed everything from beginner jump runs & backyard pumptracks through to single track in bushland reserves and parks, to Olympic level UCI BMX facilities. We revel in the joy of children filling one of our asphalt pumptracks with smiles and laughter. This passion sees us continually raise the bar in cycling facilities across the southern hemisphere.
